Foothills Philharmonic is an all-volunteer orchestra made up of accomplished nonprofessional
musicians from the Upstate region. Orchestra membership includes individuals from many walks
of life: part-time musicians, teachers, business and professional people, homemakers and more.
Kory Vrieze is our Music Director and Conductor and our performances have been held at
several venues including: Peace Center - Dorothy Gunter Theater, Fountain Inn Civic Center,
Greenville Technical College - J. Verne Smith Auditorium, Riverside High School, and
J. Harley Bonds Career Center in Greer.
Membership in the Foothills Philharmonic is open to amateur and professional musicians.
Avocational musicians are welcome and no audition is required although training in youth orchestra, college orchestra, or professional orchestra, in the Greenville Concert Band or an equivalent band
is suggested as necessary experience. Iterested musicians should contact FP Personnel Manager

Foothills Philharmonic is currently seeking men and women to help with a wide variety of jobs. Volunteers play a critical role in the success of Foothills Philharmonic and every hour you can donate
will be appreciated. For example, you can serve as an usher, help in the music library, sell program ads,
assist with the post-concert reception or work on mailings. We are also looking for people to serve on
our Board of Directors. Please remember that every gift you give is important to us.
